Cozy Scarves

Jacket | Scarf (London gift shop)
It's been really fun incorporating scarves into my fall outfits lately.  I just love wrapping myself up in a cozy scarf on a crisp fall morning for my commute to work.  And, it's the perfect thing to not only combat the cold outside, but inside as well.  My office is always so cold!  One of my favorite scarves is this one that I bought from a gift shop in London, while visiting my best girlfriend.  It always makes me think of her.  :)  So, today I rounded up a few scarves that I thought you might enjoy.  They would also make a great holiday gift!

This cashmere scarf looks so cozy!

This two-toned scarf is so pretty.

Oh my goodness, the pearl details!

I love the idea of a cape scarf.

A rainbow scarf!?  My inner child is so excited.  :)

I think this one will make my Christmas wish list!

I wish I could pull this one off.  It looks so warm!

And, this just makes me think of Christmas.

There is No Gain Without Struggle

We all struggle with something.  In our moments of struggle, it's impossible to think that other people could possibly be feeling the same hurt, frustration, and loneliness we are.  Remember you are not alone.  Struggling is a part of being human.  Without it, we would not appreciate the good things that we have.  Today, recognize that without struggle, we are not driven to be better.  You are better today, than you were yesterday.  Just keep going!  Keep taking steps every day to work towards your goals of personal development.

Why Do People Do What They Do?

Last week, I attended a client meeting with several of my co-workers.  During said meeting, one of my co-workers, and good friend, got up to get water for our guests from a mini fridge in a cabinet located in the meeting room.  But, she wasn't really quiet or discrete about it, and proceeded to slam the cabinet doors, while our guests were speaking. Maybe it's because I've lived in an apartment for too long, and the sound of my neighbors slamming their doors and kitchen cabinets has become a big pet peeve of mine.  But, to me, her actions seemed a little rude.  It got me wondering... why do people do some of the things they do? After doing some Googling, it seems like there are many reasons for why people slam things like doors, cabinets, and toilet seats.  Reasons range from anger, lack of awareness, laziness, selfishness, bad manners, and lack of consideration for others.  I immediately did some self-reflection.  While I'm pretty good about not...
